First Year Career Perspectives Group

Join the Career Perspectives group and connect with an Honors Career & Professional Development Coach to explore how your knowledge, skills, and abilities relate to academic and career goals. This is a 4-session series and participants are expected to attend all sessions.

Go Global with Honors Carolina

Friday, January 20 (Noon – 1:00pm)
Koury Residence Hall, Room 176

With Chapel Hill as your launching pad, learn how you can live, intern, and study in some of the world’s greatest cities. Honors Carolina can help you get professional experience in London, Cape Town, Washington DC, and China while getting 15-20 Honors credits. Learn about self-designed fellowship options, faculty-led programs, and application timelines. Lunch will be provided.

Exploring a Law Career

Join the Career Perspectives group and connect with the Honors Carolina Advising & Career Guides to understand how your knowledge, skills and abilities relate to academic, co-curricular, and career opportunities. Though self-evaluation exercises, you will reflect on what you have done in the past, hone in on what you want to explore in your first year at Carolina, and give thought to your ‘Anywhere’. Please note that this group will meet four times; participants are expected to participate in all four sessions

Academic Planning & Honors Carolina Courses

This workshop is open to all first-year Honors Carolina students. Connect with Academic Advising and Honors Carolina staff and learn important information to help you navigate and plan your academic path, gain insight on important tips for registering for Spring 2017 courses, and enjoy an opportunity to ask your course registration questions.

Course registration is just around the corner so now is the best time to prepare.

First Year Honors Carolina Pre-Business School Application Workshop

Interested in applying to the Undergraduate Business program in the Kenan-Flagler School of Business? You are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop with Leslie Beisser, Senior Associate Director of Admissions in Undergraduate Business. Learn about business school prerequisites and course planning; what the business school is looking for in an applicant; what you should be doing throughout your first year to best ensure your chances for admission into the business school; summer months planning; and global opportunities available through the business school.
