Honors Study Abroad and Burch Field Research Seminars
With Chapel Hill as a launching pad, Honors Carolina students can take advantage of opportunities to live and study in some of the world′s greatest cities. Honors Study Abroad programs and Burch Field Research Seminars are led by UNC faculty and often provide opportunities for students to take courses with distinguished faculty from some of the host countries’ most renowned universities.
These programs are open to all UNC undergraduate students who are in good standing and have a 3.0 GPA. Financial aid can be applied to the program costs and Honors Carolina offers additional need- and merit-based scholarships.

Burch Seminars deliver unique, hands-on learning experiences that showcase the relationship between faculty research and undergraduate teaching. Seminars are held in changing locations stateside and around the globe.
