Honors Carolina provides grants and fellowships to support undergraduate research and Senior Thesis Projects.

Undergraduate Research

More than 90% of Honors Carolina students get involved in undergraduate research projects, including fellowships, summer programs, and senior theses. Engaging in inquiry, investigation, and research allows students to pursue interests in different ways, develop new skills, and experience the thrill of discovery.

Senior Honors Thesis

While Honors Carolina students are not required to complete a senior theses, approximately 350 students each year work with a faculty mentor to develop original research or creative work. Students who successfully complete and defend a Senior Honors Thesis graduate with Honors or Highest Honors.
