James LeloudisJames Leloudis

Associate Dean for Honors Carolina and Director of the James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence
Dean Leloudis provides overall leadership for Honors Carolina and the Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence. He is an award-winning professor of History whose teaching and research focus on late-19th and 20th-century America. Dean Leloudis graduated from Chapel Hill in History with highest honors, and then earned a master’s degree at Northwestern University and a PhD from Carolina.

Randall Styers

Acting Assistant Dean for Honors Carolina
Dean Styers coordinates the selection of Honors Carolina student and assists with Honors course programming and extracurricular activities.  He is an associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies, where he also serves as Director of Graduate Studies.  Dean Styers has a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Duke University.

Linda DykstraLinda Dykstra

Director of the Office of Distinguished Scholarships
A member of the Carolina faculty since 1972, Linda Dykstra is a scholar, teacher, and mentor who works closely with students applying for nationally competitive fellowships and awards. She is a William Rand Kenan Jr. Distinguished Professor of Psychology and former dean of the Graduate School. A graduate of Hope College, Dykstra received master’s and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago and a postdoctoral degree from Carolina.

Friederike SeegerFriederike Seeger

Director of Burch Programs and Honors Study Abroad
Friederike Seeger provides guidance to students embarking on international experiences and works with faculty to develop new programs around the globe. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business, a master’s degree in International Education and is working on a PhD in Educational Research and Policy Analysis.

Jason ClemmonsJason Clemmons

Associate Director for Curriculum, Recruiting, and Operations, Honors Carolina and the James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence
Jason Clemmons leads the Honors Carolina staff and supervises all aspects of the program’s daily operations.

Erin Marcinowski

Program Assistant, Honors Carolina
Erin Marcinowski coordinates an array of student services, from Honors Carolina orientation and course registration to senior Honors thesis reporting.

Alsace Gallop

Program Assistant, Office of Distinguished Scholarships
Alsace Gallop helps identify students who are candidates for prestigious academic scholarships, then guides them through the application process.

Jamie JonesJamie Jones

Programming Officer, James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence
Jamie Jones helps plan and coordinate events for Honors Carolina and the James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence.

Charlotte WilliamsCharlotte Williams

Facilities and Events Manager, James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence
With more than 25 years experience, Charlotte Williams is responsible for scheduling Honors Carolina events at the Johnston Center and managing the center’s daily operations.
