European Smart Cities and Renewable Energy

This Burch Field Research Seminar is a 6-week program that takes students to European cities that are considered models of sustainable planning. With the world undergoing the largest wave of urban growth in history, students will explore the Smart Cities movement and look at how Europe is becoming a leader in renewable energy. The seminar begins with visits in Freiburg, Germany before moving to The Netherlands and back to Germany to close the program.

Summer 2017 (June 4 – July 16)

All Burch Field Research Seminars are open to UNC undergraduates (sophomore status or greater) who have a 3.0 GPA. There are no prerequisites, but ENST 201 is strongly recommended.
