March 19, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join us for a discussion and performance based on Nikolai Gogol’s The Government Inspector, a satirical Russian play from 1836. Prior to the performance, associate Professor of Russian Literature, Dr. Radislav Lapushin will provide artistic and historical context for Gogol’s work. Following the discussion, we will enjoy Kidd Pivot’s Revisor, a modern adaptation loosely based on Gogol’s original performance to consider how the original satirical play has shifted over nearly two centuries.
