Food for Thought with Professor Danielle Zurcher

Danielle Zurcher received her training at the intersection of polymer and organic chemistry, designing and improving novel materials for sensing toxic water contaminants. She also has experience developing curriculum for organic laboratory courses and polymer-themed outreach activities. Her current interests lie in curriculum development for large introductory courses, as well as implementing effective teaching methods to promote student engagement. She is in her first year at UNC as a Teaching Assistant Professor and is currently teaching CHEM 261.
