Concerts in Context: The Intersection of Environmental Justice and Politics in NC

October 5, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a performance and panel discussion focused on public health, environmental justice, and politics. In the play, An Enemy of the People, a city’s drinking water is contaminated, and two brothers, the town’s doctor and mayor, line up on opposite sides of a war pitting money and politics against the health and safety of the town. Prior to the performance, the issues will be put into context of NC through a panel discussion with NC Senators Smith and Woodard and Representative Butler. Tickets to the performance are included with registration for the first 10 students. Additional participants can purchase tickets at the Memorial Hall Box Office.
