BRITISH ROMANTICISM AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMAGINATION

This six-week program will explore how landscape shapes literary imagination, and how Romantic conceptions of urban and rural environment are still with us today. Time on the program will be split between London and Oxford, two cities known for their contributions to literature, in addition to a week-long excursion to the scenic Lake District. The program will feature site visits to the homes of John Keats and William Wordsworth among others.
