Manchester: Sports Entrepreneurship

This Burch Seminar on Sports Entrepreneurship explores how to drive growth and innovation with globally renowned soccer clubs such as ManCity Women’s, Salford City FC and a range of 1-4 division pro womens teams. Students will work in small groups with real clients in discovery (best practices) and rapid prototyping. The areas include fan engagement(digital & matchday), merchandising, food and beverage, outreach, player care and performance. By the end of the Burch Seminar, students will be able to discover, ideate, validate, and accelerate sports innovation projects and ventures.

Eligibility

All Burch Field Research Seminars are open to UNC undergraduates (second-year status or greater) who have a 3.0 GPA. It is recommended for students to have completed ECON 125 and ECON 325 prior to the program but not required.
