The Services for Transition Age Youth (STAY) fellowship

The Services for Transition Age Youth (STAY) fellowship supports the training of master’s level practitioners in mental health services. This fellowship is designed for students in terminal master’s programs in psychology whose training prepares them to provide mental health services to transition age youth (ages 16 through 25) and their families. Includes: Financial support and associate membership to APA. for one year, as well as travel support to Washington, D.C., for specialized training during the Psychology Summer Institute.

The Udall Native American Congressional Internship Program

The Udall Internship places 12 American Indian and Alaska Native college, graduate, and law students in Senate, House, and federal agency offices in Washington, D.C., during the summer to learn firsthand how the U.S. government works with Native nations. Interns will gain a better understanding of the government to government relationship and how they can use this knowledge on behalf of their tribes. Internship includes housing, a living allowance, transportation to and from Washington, D.C., an educational stipend, and access to a network of American Indian professionals and alumni who work on behalf of tribal nations.

The Women’s Congressional Policy Institute (WCPI) Congressional Fellowships on Women and Public Policy

The Fellowships are designed to train potential leaders in public policy formation to examine issues from the perspective, experiences, and needs of women and are extended to students pursuing a graduate degree or who have recently completed a master’s, doctorate, or professional degree with a proven commitment to equity for women. Fellows gain practical policymaking experience and graduate credit as they work from January to August in Congressional offices.
