American Handel Society J. Merrill Knapp Research Fellowship

Fellowships support scholarly projects related to Handel and his world. Requests for funding may include, but are not limited to, purchase of microfilms, travel for research, and production expenses for publication. Preference will be given to graduate students, scholars in the early stages of their careers, and independent scholars with no source of institutional support.

American Heart Association (AHA) Postdoctoral Fellowship

Fellowships support postdoctoral cardiovascular and stroke research carried out under the supervision of a sponsor or mentor. Eligible research relates to cardiovascular function, disease and stroke, or to related basic science, bioengineering or biotechnology, clinical and public health problems, including multidisciplinary efforts. Proposals are encouraged from all basic disciplines as well as epidemiological, behavioral, community and clinical investigations that bear on cardiovascular and stroke problems. The fellowship offers support for up to two years, renewable for up to an additional two years.

American Heart Association (AHA) Predoctoral Fellowship

Fellowships support research on cardiovascular function and disease and stroke, or to related clinical, basic science, bioengineering or biotechnology, and public health problems, including multidisciplinary efforts. Proposals are encouraged from all disciplines as well as epidemiological, behavioral, community, and clinical investigations that bear on cardiovascular and stroke problems. Multidisciplinary proposals are welcome. The fellowship offers support for up to two years.

American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship

The AHA Predoctoral Fellowship enhances the training of promising students in pre-doctoral or clinical health professional degree training programs and who intend careers as scientists, physician-scientists or other clinician-scientists, or related careers aimed at improving global health and wellbeing. Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a post-baccalaureate Ph.D., M.D., D.O., D.V.M., Pharm.D., D.D.S., DrPH, or Ph.D. in nursing or equivalent clinical health science doctoral degree program, who seeks research training with a sponsor prior to embarking upon a research career. At the time of award activation, the candidate must have completed initial coursework and be at the stage of the program where he/she can devote full-time effort to research or activities related to the development into an independent researcher or a related career aimed at improving global cardiovascular health.

American Heraldry Society William Barton Graduate Scholarship

support master’s and doctoral students conducting research on heraldry (coats of arms, seals, badges and related symbols) within the United States and its territories and possessions. Eligible disciplines include, but are not limited to, history, literature, law, anthropology, sociology, political science/government, archaeology, art history, architecture and design, and communication studies. The scholarship is for one year.
