American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Ellen H. Swallow Richards Memorial Fellowship

The fund was established to honor the profession’s founder, Ellen Swallow Richards. A $5,000 fellowship and up to $1,000 of support for one year of AAFCS membership and participation in the AAFCS Annual Conference for no more than one (1) family and consumer sciences graduate student to support study and related experiences to prepare for administration and leadership roles.

American Association of Personnel Administrators: Leon Bradley Scholarship Program

The Leon Bradley Scholarship Program was established to encourage more minorities or persons of color to enter the field of teaching and school leadership. The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) believes that it is beneficial for all students to experience diversity among the educators who serve as role models for our students. AASPA will annually award up to two scholarships to assist a minority candidate seeking his/her initial teaching certification endorsement. Each scholarship will be given in the amount of $3,500.00.

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Graduate Student Grants

support master’s and doctoral students conducting research in the geosciences whose thesis research has application to the search for and development of petroleum and energy-mineral resources, and/or to related environmental geology issues.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) Fellowships

support women scholars who are completing dissertations, planning research leave from accredited institutions, or preparing research for publication. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of scholarly excellence; quality and originality of project design; and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research.

American Astronomical Society (AAS) – John Bahcall Postdoctoral Public Policy Fellowship

provides an opportunity for early career astronomers to gain experience in the world of science policy and serves to augment the policy advocacy programs of the Society. The fellow works in partnership with the Director of Public Policy to coordinate the public policy activities of the AAS in Washington, D.C. The fellowship offers support for one year, renewable for a second year.
