Scholarships

The Doctoral Student Grant Program assists accounting doctoral students who are pursuing research that has the potential to contribute to the management accounting profession.

The Program supports a doctoral student writing a summer research paper as a requirement in an accounting doctoral program. The scholarship is intended to enable the student to work on their summer research paper without the time commitment to teaching or other competing research priorities.

Two-year Community Fellowships to 10 exceptional college graduates with the linguistic skills, passion, and cultural competency to work with diverse immigrant communities.

Two-year fellowship with full salary and benefits for recent law graduates and law clerks to provide legal services for low income people and for immigrants.

The Incubator Awards provide students with $1,000-3,000 in funding to pursue creative projects that explore Wilson Library’s diverse collections. Recipients receive assistance from Wilson Library staff to complete work that will be presented at our annual Incubator Awards showcase. Student artists from any artistic discipline are invited to apply.

The fellowship offers teaching opportunities to recent PhDs and graduate students who are pursuing careers as university faculty members and who are entering the final year of terminal degree and/or doctoral programs. Fellows will teach and/or co-teach one course during the summer sessions and/or the academic year, continue their research, and contribute to the life of the university. Fellows are sought whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds, especially those from historically underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply. The fellowship is for up to one year.

Internships provide opportunities for science, technology, engineering and medical students from the United States to undertake internships in national laboratories, federal research centers, academic research institutes and private R&D laboratories in India. The objectives are for students to gain exposure to India’s science and technology milieu, gain practical skills and develop collaborative networks. The internships are for three months.

The Innovative Postdoctoral Entrepreneurial Research Fellowship program at high-tech startups addresses a national need to accelerate small business innovation in support of federal government research by providing start-ups with doctoral level expertise in STEM while training the postdocs in high-tech entrepreneurship. Women, underrepresented minorities in the sciences & engineering, or veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are strongly encouraged to apply.

Insight offers a seven-week intensive training fellowships for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers transitioning from academia to careers in data science. Programs are mainly located in Boston, New York City, and Silicon Valley, but remote participation is also offered

supports communications, business, or public relations undergraduate and graduate students interested in applied public relations research including data collection, data analysis, interpretation of research results, and consultation. At the end of the experience, fellows are expected to produce a research paper intended for practitioners. Fellows will work at PRIME Research’s Ann Arbor, Michigan. The fellowship offers support for six weeks.
