Scholarships

The Graduate Education Fund provides support of up to US $40,000 to Australian, Indigenous Australian, American and Native American individuals undertaking or planning to undertake full-time Graduate-level study (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research) at an accredited educational institution in the country of the other, for a minimum of one-year.

The American Bar Association (ABA) awards an annual Legal Opportunity Scholarship to first-year law students to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to attend and complete law school.

Fellowships are held in residence at the ABF and include stipend for up to two academic years (24 months). Doctoral research must be in the general area of socio-legal studies or involve social scientific approaches to the law, legal institutions, or legal processes. The research must address significant issues in the field and show promise of a major contribution to social scientific understanding of law and inequality.

The American Brahms Society is seeking applications for its Karl Geiringer Scholarship in Brahms Studies, from students in the final stages of preparing a doctoral dissertation written in English. Work relating to Brahms should form a significant component of the dissertation, but it need not be the exclusive or even primary focus. The society gives equal consideration to research in historical musicology, analysis, performance practice, and cultural history, among others.

supports medical students wishing to spend a summer conducting brain tumor research in a neuro-oncology laboratory within a mentorship setting. Research projects may address all types of brain tumors, benign or malignant, primary or secondary.The program’s intent is to inspire talented medical students to pursue a career in neuro-oncology research.The fellowship offers support for 12 weeks.

This scholarship is intended to help encourage more minorities to enter the management and operation ranks of the transportation, travel, and tourism industry. The scholarship amount is $5,000.

awarded to qualifying doctoral students at schools of social work that train individuals to conduct research relevant to oncology social work. The initial 2-year grant provides a stipend with possibility of a 2-year renewal.

Fellowships support postdoctoral training in cancer research including basic, preclinical, clinical, cancer control, psychosocial, behavioral, epidemiology, health services, and health policy research. The award is for up to 3 years.

Maximum single award of ten months for a scholar who has a Ph.D. or has completed their professional training. In the place of a ten-month award, other awards may be made for periods of four to nine months. Fields of research include but are not limited to: modern and classical languages, linguistics, literature, history, jurisprudence, philosophy, archaeology, heritage studies, comparative religion, ethics, and the history, criticism, and theory of the arts. Social and political scientists are encouraged to apply.

For predoctoral students in their third or fourth year of graduate study (second or third year of graduate study at the time of application) engaged in medicinal chemistry research in a Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemistry department
