Jewish Community Center (JCC) Association Graduate Education Scholarship Program

Scholarships support students pursuing an advanced degree that will lead to a professional career in the Jewish Community Center (JCC) movement. Acceptable graduate degrees include Jewish communal service, nonprofit management or MBA, public policy, sports management, health and physical education, Jewish studies, social work, early childhood education and many others. All graduate scholars are expected to complete a field placement at a JCC during their studies and to work in the JCC Movement for two years post graduation. The scholarship is for one or two years.

Jewish National Fund Caravan for Democracy

The Caravan for Democracy Student Leadership Mission is a 10-day, fully subsidized educational program to Israel for non-Jewish student leaders who have never been there. This unique trip provides students with the opportunity to explore the Jewish and democratic country of Israel through meetings with political, cultural and community leaders from diverse backgrounds and faiths. Ideal candidates are American students who hold leadership positions in student organizations including, but not limited to, government, ethnic and minority groups, LGBTQ groups, women’s groups, service groups and Greek life who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors at the time of travel.

JILA Postdoctoral Research Associateships in Science and Technology

Fellowships support young scientists desiring advanced research training soon after being awarded a Ph.D. JILA offers opportunities for independent fellowships in (1) applied research in the fields of laser technology, optoelectronics, precision measurement, surface science and semiconductors, information and image processing, and nanoscience; and (2) basic research in atomic, molecular and optical physics, precision measurement, astrophysics, chemical physics, biophysics and nanoscience. It is a joint institute of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Fellows carry out their research under the direction of a member of the permanent scientific staff of JILA at the University of Colorado at Boulder. The fellowship offers support for one year, renewable for a second year.

John Bayliss Radio Scholarship

The Bayliss Foundation has been distributing scholarships to outstanding broadcast students for over 23 years. Open to juniors and seniors majoring in Broadcast Communications. Although financial need is a consideration, students of merit with an extensive history of radio-related activities are given preference.

John Carter Brown Library Long-Term Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Library offers long-term postdoctoral fellowships for scholars whose work is centered on the colonial history of the Americas, North and South, including all aspects of the European, African and Native American involvement. Several are funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), an independent agency of the U.S. Federal government. Additional long-term fellowships have been made possible by Donald L. Saunders; R. David Parsons (for the study of the history of exploration and discovery); and the Reed Foundation, which has endowed the InterAmericas Fellowship (for research on the history of the British West Indies and the Caribbean basin). Long-Term Fellowships are for five to ten months.

The Library awards short-term residential fellowships for scholars whose work is centered on the colonial history of the Americas, North and South, including all aspects of the European, African, and Native American involvement at the Library at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. These fellowships offer support for 2-4 months.

stipend support for significant scholarly research in the collections of the Library of Congress by scholars at an early stage in their careers in history. Awarded for two to three months to spend in full-time residence at the Library of Congress.
