Chris Bennesh, National Geospatial-Intelligence Ageny (NGA), Branch chief in the Office of Geomatics

Chris Bennesh is a branch chief in the Office of Geomatics at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). His office leverages multiple science- and math-based disciplines to provide geomatics content, functional management, and analysis, which accounts for the dynamic earth and ensures the accuracy of geospatial intelligence. Before moving to a supervisory role in geomatics, Chris served as a team lead, directing Human Geography and Geographic Names analysis for the Southwest Asia branch of the Office of Geography at NGA. A linguist by trade, Chris began his career as an 18-year old Air Force recruit, training and becoming fluent in Persian-Farsi and Dari at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. He spent a majority of his 9-year Air Force career working with the National Security Agency in Augusta, GA, with deployments to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar and Baghdad, Iraq. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Management from Webster University and his MBA from Temple University.
