Honors Carolina is pleased to announce that UNC young alumni working in finance are volunteering their time and expertise this semester to provide 1-on-1 conversations with you, via Zoom, to discuss careers in finance. You are invited to ask anything from general questions about the field, to specific interview prep questions, or you can use the opportunity to expand your network.

This week, Mark Brumback ‘16, a Vice President at Starwood Property Trust in NYC, will discuss A Career in Real Estate, as well as your questions! Mark has been with Starwood since May 2018 and, in his current role, is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial real estate loans for Starwood’s balance sheet lending platform. Since joining Starwood, Mark has been responsible for originating more than $4.5B of CRE financing transactions in markets across the United States. Mark holds bachelor’s degrees in Public Policy and Peace, War, & Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
