Honors Fellowships
Will Froelich Honors Fellowships
Awarded to incoming first year students, the Will Froelich Fellowship enables students to study abroad, conduct research, finance an internship or pursue a civic engagement project.
Research Awards & Fellowships
The William W. & Ida W. Taylor Faculty-Mentored Research Fellowships
Conduct a faculty-mentored research project during the summer.
Honors Thesis Research Awards
Supplement your senior honors thesis research with up to $500 toward costs such as laboratory equipment & supplies, computer software & hardware, travel, artistic supplies, books & periodicals not available through normal library sources, etc.
Study Abroad Scholarships

The John H. and Edith S. Summey Study Abroad Scholarship Fund
- The Summey Study Abroad Scholarship will provide two or more scholarships each year for undergraduates to participate in College-approved summer, semester, or year-long study abroad programs.

Point to the Passer Carolina Covenant Honors Study Abroad Scholarship Fund
- The Point to the Passer Carolina Covenant Honors Study Abroad Scholarship will provide Carolina Covenant Scholars with study abroad scholarships funds to participate in Honors Carolina’s Global Programs.

The Davis Barden Honors Study Abroad Scholarship Fund
- The Davis Bardern Honors Study Abroad Scholarship Fund will support up to three scholarships annually for students participating in Honors Study Abroad program.

The Richard S. Reynolds Honors Study Abroad Scholarship
- The Richard S. Reynolds Honors Study Abroad Scholarship will support study abroad scholarships for two to three Honors students per year.

The John F. Jacques Family Honors Study Abroad Scholarship
- The John F. Jacques Family Honors Study Abroad Scholarship fund will support study abroad scholarships for Honors Program participants.

The Peter G. C. Mallinson Fund for Innovation in International Education
- The Peter G. C. Mallinson Fund for Innovation in International Education supports the Faculty Directorship of the London Honors Program. In addition the Fund will provide fellowships for undergraduate students for Honors study abroad, field-research, or other off-campus Honors academic programs.

The Sarah Quinn Laney Memorial Fund
- This Fund honors the memory and inquisitive spirit of Sarah Quinn Laney. The supports the Associate Dean for Honors and Director of the James M. Johnston Center for Undergraduate Excellence, to support scholarship awards for students participating in an Honors Study Abroad program, a Burch Field Research Seminar, or other study abroad opportunities through Honors Carolina.

- The John Lucier Brantly Honors Fund provides travel and tuition assistance to Carolina undergraduates interested in Honors Study Abroad, field research or other off-campus Honors Carolina programs. Preference given to in-state students with financial need.

- The J. Stanley Tucker London Honors Scholarship Fund provides scholarship funding for students interested in a semester or summer study abroad in London through one of the London Honors Carolina Programs. Preference given to students with financial need.

Honors Carolina Scholarships provide comprehensive financial support but also a powerful launchpad for academic achievement and personal growth. The scholarship eliminates financial barriers and empowers the Scholar to fully engage in all that Honors Carolina has to offer.
