ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship

Scholarships for a research stay in Switzerland. It supports highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to do research at a public Swiss university or research institute for 2 to 3 months. The scholarship is open to students of all fields. Students are responsible for finding a host professor or mentor at a Swiss institution as well as clarifying the scope of a research project before submitting their research scholarship application

Thoma Foundation Doctoral Research Fellowship in Twentieth-Century Abstract Painting

The fellowship grants an emerging scholar unique access to an exceptional collection of mid-twentieth century abstract, geometric painting for the purpose of pursuing an independent research project. Fellows commit to six hours per day, two days per week, for a total of 600 hours in one year, to plan and complete projects for the Foundation in consultation with the Foundation’s curator. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Thoma Foundation Spanish Colonial Art Fellowships and Research/Travel Grants

The Carl and Marilynn Thoma Art Foundation offers fellowships and research/travel grants to support projects that will make a significant contribution to the understanding of colonial Spanish American art and its history.  The Foundation gives strong preference to projects addressing the history of painting and sculpture in colonial South America. Projects that focus exclusively on maps or manuscripts are not eligible. Projects must result in major measurable outcomes, including museum exhibitions, dissertations, book publications, scholarly essays, and lecture series.

Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship

The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker to encourage and support women-identified lesbians in their pursuit of higher education. This program provides one-year scholarships of $1,500 or $3,000 to those graduating high school or already enrolled in college in any year of study, including graduate school.

Trinity College Ann Plato Dissertation, Postdoctoral, & Post-MFA Diversity Fellowship

Fellowships support scholars who will promote diversity at our nationally recognized liberal arts college in Hartford, Connecticut. Fellows join the faculty in one of over 30 academic departments or interdisciplinary programs, interact regularly with colleagues and students on campus, and work on their own research. Predoctoral fellows will teach one course during the year; postdoctoral fellows will teach two courses. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Turkish Study Abroad Scholarships for American Students of Minority and Heritage Communities

These scholarships are awarded to full-time undergraduate and graduate students in good standing who have been accepted to a language program or university study abroad program in Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), or Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). They are designed to expand study abroad opportunities for minority students and foster a greater understanding about diversity in America as well as the perspectives, challenges, and opportunities of different American minorities and heritage communities with strong historical and cultural ties with Turkey; as well as establish cross-cultural bridges between Turks and young Americans of various backgrounds.
