Weill Cornell Travelers Summer Research Scholarship Program

The Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program is designed to give 25 premedical students deeper insights into the field of medicine, including issues that greatly affect the health of traditionally under-served groups. Includes experiences of laboratory or clinical research, a series of talks by minority physicians about various medical specialties, and shadowing physicians to provide further exposure to the clinical facets of medicine. Students in the summer program receive information on the medical school admissions process, and counseling on financial planning for medical school and how to examine the financial aid package.

Whitaker International Fellows

This program sends young Biomedical Engineers, anywhere outside the U.S. or Canada for: conducting academic or scientific research in a university or laboratory, pursuing coursework at an academic institution, or Interning at a policy institute, or in an industrial or non-profit setting

White House Fellows

Selected individuals typically spend a year working as a full-time, paid Fellow to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries and other top-ranking government officials. Fellows also participate in an education program consisting of roundtable discussions with leaders from the private and public sectors, and trips to study U.S. policy in action both domestically and internationally. Fellowships are awarded on a strictly non-partisan basis.

Williams College Gaius Charles Bolin Diversity Dissertation & Post-MFA Residency Fellowship

Fellowships support scholars and artists pursuing careers in college teaching who will promote diversity on college faculties. Fellows spend the first year completing their dissertations or, in the case of MFA applicants, building their professional portfolios, and the second year on academic career development. Fellows teach one course each year as a faculty member in one of the College’s academic departments or programs. The fellowship offers two years of support.

Women in Medicine Leadership Scholarship

Women in Medicine (WIM) awards two LGBTQ Leadership Scholarships for female medical students enrolled in their first, second or third year of allopathic, osteopathic, or naturopathic medical schools in the United States or Canada. The scholarships are presented at the WIM annual meeting, with the expectation that the medical student must attend the conference and be present to receive their awards. Applicants should be in good academic standing, and have actively contributed/demonstrated leadership for the LGBTQ community.

Women Techmakers Scholars Program

Geared toward creating gender equality in the field of computer science, and to encourage and support women in tech to become active role models and leaders in the field.Scholarships awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who identify as female, based on the strength of each candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated leadership and academic background. The program is open to qualified students studying computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field, who exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for increasing the involvement of women in computer science. All scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the annual Google Scholars’ Retreat in Mountain View, California in 2019 to connect with fellow scholars, network with Googlers and participate in a number of development workshops. Professional development and community outreach opportunities will continue to be offered after the retreat. As a Women Techmakers Scholar, you will join a global community of Scholars Program participants designed to provide a forum to share resources, support other women in tech and collaborate on projects to make continued impact.

Women’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP)

WISP is available nationally to women who have left an abusive domestic situation and who are pursuing an education designed to provide economic independence for themselves and their children. Our first priority awards are for tuition, books and fees for undergraduate degrees. Our next priority is to assist in reducing indirect financial barriers to education (for example, childcare, transportation, etc.).

World Bank Robert S. McNamara PhD Research Fellowships

The Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSMFP) provides support to developing country citizens who are current PhD candidates studying in developing countries, funding up to $25,000 to conduct PhD research on a development topic in a World Bank member country other than the Fellow’s home country or country of residence.

Yale Institute of Sacred Music Postdoctoral Fellowship

Fellowships support scholars whose work relates to the fields of sacred music, liturgical/ritual studies, or religion and the arts. Scholars in the humanities or the social or natural sciences whose work is directly related to these areas are also encouraged to apply. Fellows undertake a substantive and original project that relates to the mission of the Institute. This could be original scholarship, an art exhibition, a musical composition, or work of creative writing, etc. Some teaching is also required. Fellows are expected to live within a 10-mile radius of campus. The fellowship typically offers support for one year, though in rare circumstances it may be granted for two or three years.
