Scholarships are available to students who are undergraduate seniors or who are currently pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees in communication sciences and disorders, speech-language pathology, audiology or hearing science, and related areas, that will improve the lives of people with speech, language, or hearing disorders.. Both research and clinical doctorate candidates are eligible.

ASHF supports graduate students pursuing careers in communication sciences and disorders, speech-language pathology, audiology or hearing science, and related areas, that will improve the lives of people with speech, language, or hearing disorders. Proposals must be for research to be initiated in the area of clinical and/or rehabilitative audiology

American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHF) Student Research Grant in Early Childhood Language Development

fellowship for master’s or doctoral (research or clinical) degree students enrolled in, or accepted for, graduate study in speech-language pathology or speech-language science. Proposals must be for research initiated in the area of early childhood language development. Preference will be given to research addressing populations who are early verbal in their language production and use. If applicable to the type of study, proposals in this area of child language can be inclusive of children with hearing impairment.

The intern program offers a variety of positions for leadership development. It educates students on issues of civil rights, the Arab heritage, and current events in the Middle East. It empowers them to educate others. Students gain practical training in community organizing, media relations, research and writing, legal issues, political action, educational outreach, and routine office work alongside our regular professional staff.

AmeriCorps VISTA

Members serve full time (~40 hours/week) for 1 full year at a community organization (nonprofit, college/university, local government office, etc.) on anti-poverty projects. Members work on projects that build the capacity of their organization. Projects can vary and are not limited to: developing outreach and marketing campaigns, building a social media presence, creating a program database, writing grants, managing a program in its first year, and recruiting volunteers

addresses the lack of diversity in the nation’s teaching faculties by recruiting outstanding students of color and other scholars committed to diversity, counseling them through the graduate school application process, and advocating for sufficient funding for advanced study. The IRT offers two distinct programs: the Summer Workshop for college juniors and seniors who intend to pursue graduate study immediately upon completion of their undergraduate degree; and, the Associate Program for college juniors and seniors, recent graduates, and working professionals who want to continue their graduate education in the humanities, social sciences and education.
