Scholarships

The Coleman Fellowship is to be used for travel and study in Italy, the western Mediterranean, or North Africa, between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. The award may not support field excavation projects, nor may AIA fellowship funds be used for institutional overhead, administrative recovery costs, or indirect costs.

The Julie Herzig Desnick Fund provides grants to archaeologists to start new archaeological survey projects. The awards are intended for projects involving field survey on the ground or a combination of field survey and remote sensing methods, rather than those based entirely on satellite imagery or other remote sensing data. Geophysical survey projects are also eligible. While all are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to archaeologists at an early stage in their careers (within 8 years of the receipt of the PhD).

he fellowship can be used to support research and study related to the archaeology of Portugal, including the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. This includes, but is not limited to, excavations, research projects, colloquia, symposia, publications, and travel for research or to academic meetings for the purpose of presenting papers on the archaeology of Portugal. Funds may not be used for institutional overhead, institutional administrative recovery costs, or institutional indirect costs.

The fellowship can also be used by Portuguese nationals (archaeologists and archaeology graduate students) to support research and study in the US. I

Residency in Helena, Montana supports a long-term resident artist who demonstrates exceptional merit and promise. The Fellows are expected to embrace the Bray experience of community and creative exchange and have the opportunity to focus their attention to produce and exhibit a significant body of work during their residency. Fellowships are non-renewable.

This program provides Master’s and Ph.D. level candidates an opportunity to conduct work within an Argonne research group or on a specific project for the purpose of supporting the student’s thesis work.

Argonne National Laboratory offers opportunities for qualified graduate students who are engaged in work related to Argonne programs.  Argonne is a science and engineering national research laboratory operated by the University of Chicago for the US Department of Energy. Argonne maintains a broad portfolio in basic science research, energy storage and renewable energy, environmental sustainability, supercomputing, and national security.  Available to qualified graduate students who show that access to Argonne National Laboratory will be beneficial to their thesis research and to Argonne programs. A Guest Graduate is provided a gate pass, usually for one year, and the student may visit Argonne whenever appropriate. A Guest Graduate receives no stipend from the Laboratory. However, travel expenses, lodging and/or some per diem for performing research away from the home institution may be reimbursed

awarded to students who are of Armenian Descent or demonstrated a special interest in Armenian medical causes and who participate in Armenian community service.For students enrolled in a US accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools

Fellowships are for independent postdoctoral research that supports the mission of ARL and will lead to the transfer of new science and technology that enhances the capabilities of the U.S. Army and the warfighter in times of both peace and war. Fellows work with scientists and engineers at ARL in areas such as neuroscience, energetic materials and propulsion, electronics technologies, network sciences, virtual interfaces, and synthetic environments and autonomous systems. The fellowship offers support for one year, renewable up to three years.
