Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Internships

offers full-time and part-time paid internships for undergraduates, advanced students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in public policy. Interns participate in a variety of activities that support individual programs, including research, writing and project development and participate in programs offered by the in-house leadership development program at CSIS, which supplements with practical discussions on leadership in international affairs and training in key policy skills.

Charles Babbage Institute Tomash Fellowship in the History of Information Technology

The fellowship supports dissertation research in the history of computing. The fellowship may be held at the recipient’s home academic institution, the Charles Babbage Institute, or any other location with appropriate research facilities. The fellowship provides one year of support. Preference will be given to applicants indicating a need to use CBI materials, planning research in residence at CBI, and willing to make a brief presentation of their research findings to CBI staff

Chi Epsilon (Civil Engineering Honor Society) Graduate Fellowship

The fellowship supports a graduate student member of Chi Epsilon pursuing a career in civil engineering or a directly associated engineering option. The fellowship offers support for one year. NOTE: Applicants do not submit their applications directly to Chi Epsilon. Applications must be submitted to the Chi Epsilon Faculty Advisor at the applicant’s university in time for him/her to submit it to the Chi Epsilon District Office before the national deadline.

Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange Doctoral Fellowship for non-ROC Citizens

Fellowships support the writing of dissertations on Chinese Studies. The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Taipei, the capital of the Republic of China. The Foundation promotes international scholarly exchange and the understanding of Chinese culture and society overseas.  Successful candidates are expected to complete their dissertations by the end of the grant period. The fellowship offers support for up to one year.

Chicago Field Museum Dissertation Research Fellowship

This fellowship supports a female graduate student engaged in dissertation research associated with the Museum. Fellows must be in residence in the Chicago area and are expected to spend a significant portion of their research time at the Museum. The Fellowships are for one year. Candidates will be expected to have formal involvement with the Museum. A Field Museum curator must serve as member or chair on the student’s academic committee. Applicants must contact the sponsoring curator well in advance of the application deadline. The research should rely heavily upon the collections and facilities of the Museum.

Chicago Field Museum Postdoctoral Fellowship

Ideal candidates will work on disciplinary or interdisciplinary research projects advised by one or several Field Museum curators to completement any of the ongoing research programs at the Field Museum and foster collaborations with scientists outside the Field Museum. Successful research proposals will rigorously discuss questions in science and natural history today and explain the scientific motivation in a broad context. Eligible applicants will have completed a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Social Sciences, or Earth and Planetary Sciences before the start of the term, and must secure a Field Museum curator as a sponsor to complete the application
