RISE (Research Internship in Science and Engineering) Professional offers summer research internships in Germany to Master’s and PhD students from North America at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry.

RISE Germany offers unique opportunities for bachelor degree students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a duration of three months (minimum stay ten weeks) during the summer.

stipend, living expenses, and language courses for a full Master’s degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a postgraduate or Master’s degree program completed in the home country.

This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany

Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded annually at Dalhousie University to recently graduated scholars of superior academic research ability in any discipline. Awards are tenable for two years and include travel costs, a research grant, and a conference travel allowance.

The Foundation encourages all theoretical and experimental research relevant to the study of cancer and the search for cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies and prevention for a fellowship under the guidance of a sponsor.

This Fellowship provides funding to basic scientists and clinicians who conduct research with the potential to significantly impact the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of one or more pediatric cancers. Candidates must apply for the fellowship under the guidance of a Sponsor—a scientist (tenured, tenure-track, or equivalent position) capable of providing mentorship to the Fellow. The fellowship offers four year of support with second-, third-, and fourth-year funding contingent upon satisfactory progress reports.

Scholarships support interdisciplinary research that cuts across traditional boundaries and paradigms. The Prize aims to foster universal values of excellence, creativity, justice, democracy and progress and to promote the scientific, technological and humanistic achievements that advance and improve the world. The scholarship offers support for one year.

The fellowship supports graduate research on the gut microbiome’s effect on human health and well-being, or in the nutritional and functional benefits of yogurt, fermented dairy products and probiotics on the body, including, but not limited to, the role of calcium, vitamin D or other nutrients from yogurt, or the effects of probiotics, fermented dairy products or yogurt on brain function, digestive health, weight management or heart health. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Residential fellowships support research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Applicants must focus on materials customarily associated with research in the humanities or employ methods common in humanistic research. Fellows teach two courses in each year of their residency. At least one of the four courses should contribute something new to the Dartmouth curriculum, and at least one should be an introductory lecture course. Fellows will not, however, be asked to teach basic language courses. For the 2018-20 competition, applications are not being accepted for Anthropology; Asian and Middle Eastern Studies; Theater; Asian Societies, Cultures, and Languages; History; and Russian. The fellowship offers support for two years.
