Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation (DRCRF) Damon Runyon-Sohn Pediatric Postdoctoral/Post-MD Fellowship

This Fellowship provides funding to basic scientists and clinicians who conduct research with the potential to significantly impact the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of one or more pediatric cancers. Candidates must apply for the fellowship under the guidance of a Sponsor—a scientist (tenured, tenure-track, or equivalent position) capable of providing mentorship to the Fellow. The fellowship offers four year of support with second-, third-, and fourth-year funding contingent upon satisfactory progress reports.

Dannon Company – Dannon Yogurt, Probiotics, and the Gut Microbiome Fellowship Grant

The fellowship supports graduate research on the gut microbiome’s effect on human health and well-being, or in the nutritional and functional benefits of yogurt, fermented dairy products and probiotics on the body, including, but not limited to, the role of calcium, vitamin D or other nutrients from yogurt, or the effects of probiotics, fermented dairy products or yogurt on brain function, digestive health, weight management or heart health. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Dartmouth College Leslie Center for the Humanities Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships

Residential fellowships support research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Applicants must focus on materials customarily associated with research in the humanities or employ methods common in humanistic research. Fellows teach two courses in each year of their residency. At least one of the four courses should contribute something new to the Dartmouth curriculum, and at least one should be an introductory lecture course. Fellows will not, however, be asked to teach basic language courses. For the 2018-20 competition, applications are not being accepted for Anthropology; Asian and Middle Eastern Studies; Theater; Asian Societies, Cultures, and Languages; History; and Russian. The fellowship offers support for two years.

Dartmouth College Thurgood Marshall Dissertation Fellowship

The goal of the Thurgood Marshall Dissertation Fellowship is to promote student and faculty diversity at Dartmouth, and throughout higher education, by supporting completion of the doctorate by underrepresented minority scholars and other graduate scholars with a demonstrated commitment and ability to advance educational diversity. Fellows participate together in mentoring and professional development programming, including guidance in preparing for faculty careers.

Dartmouth College Tribal Scholar Fellowship Program

The Native American Studies Program offers short-term fellowships to allow Tribal Scholars to conduct research at Dartmouth College, to make use of the institution’s resources, and to interact with faculty and students. The fellowships are designed to give members of tribal communities, who would not otherwise have the opportunity, time to pursue individual or community research projects at an Ivy League institution.
