Davis Fellows for Peace

Davis Fellows for Peace awards cover tuition, room, and board for one summer in any of the 11 Language Schools (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian) at any level of study.

The 100 annual fellowships are intended for exceptionally qualified individuals with demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: international, global, or area studies; international politics and economics; peace and security studies; and/or conflict resolution. Those in other fields, including working professionals, are encouraged to apply if their field of expertise requires them to study one of the languages offered.

Dedalus Foundation Dissertation Fellowship in Modern Art

The fellowship supports dissertation research related to painting, sculpture and allied arts from 1940-1991, with a preference shown to Abstract Expressionism. The fellowship is for one year. Must be nominated through a doctoral art history program.

Dedalus Foundation Post-MFA Fellowships in Painting and Sculpture

Fellowships support graduates of MFA degree programs in painting or sculpture to work in residence at the Dedalus Foundation in New York City. The fellowship is for one year.

NOTE: Candidates must be nominated prior to application by department chairs of MFA programs in painting and sculpture. Each institution may nominate up to two candidates. Qualified MFA students should contact their department chairs.

Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF)

for students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use high-performance computing to solve complex science and engineering problems includes up to four years of stipend, full tuition, academic allowance, 12-week practicum at one of 21 DOE national laboratories or sites which includes access to DOE supercomputers, and an annual program review.

Department of Homeland Security Summer Research Team Program

Early career faculty and up to two students from Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) are selected as teams to participate in the Summer Research Team Program. The team conducts research at one of the twelve U.S. Department of Homeland Security Centers of Excellence and their partners for ten weeks during the summer. The program is designed to provide research opportunities to increase and enhance the scientific leadership at MSIs in research areas that support the mission and goals of the Department. Stipend included. Security clearance required.

Scholarships support graduate students in the DE technology areas of High Energy Laser (HEL) and High Power Microwave Technologies (HPMT). The traditional academic disciplines involved in DE research include, but are not limited to, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials sciences, optical sciences, optical engineering, and aerospace engineering.
