Scholarships

Summer Fellowships give graduate students who are studying engineering, business, sustainability, environmental management and public policy hands-on experience with leading companies and public-sector organizations to reduce energy use, increase efficiencies, and make the business case for sustainability. Fellows work directly with staff from operations, finance and sustainability departments on a wide range of innovative projects. Fellows are provided with a week of EDF Climate Corps Training in energy management, including energy efficiency, sustainability strategy, carbon accounting, building systems. Fellows then spend 10-12 weeks working on-site at a host organization.

Scholarships are awarded by EREF to recognize excellence in master’s and doctoral waste management research and education. Recipients are chosen based on credentials and potential contributions to the solid waste industry and its scientific community.

Fellowships support predoctoral students pursuing dissertation research with an epilepsy relevant theme, and who are working under the supervision of a mentor with expertise to supervise in the area of epilepsy investigation. The fellowship offers one year of support.

Fellowship support to emerging scholars in an area where the Episcopal Church needs to develop expertise. The fellowship offers support for one year, renewable for up to three years total.

Fellowships support law students at select law schools who wish to work with organizations that deliver civil legal services to those most in need. Fellows work with over 500 legal services organizations across the country. Interning under the supervision of experienced attorneys. Fellows must secure a full-time (35-40 hours per week) placement working at least 10 weeks for a legal services organization. The fellowship offers support for 10 weeks in summer.

Humanities study at Oxford University

The Foundation offers support for graduate students wishing to use the Welty Collection and other materials at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History in Jackson, Mississippi. Recipients are expected to spend at least two weeks in Jackson between May and September.

Fellowships support postdoctoral research in laboratories throughout Europe and the world. International exchange is a key feature in the application process. All fellowships must involve movement between countries. The receiving institute or the applicant’s nationality must be from one of the EMBO Member States. The fellowship offers support for up to two years.

Fellowships support doctoral and postdoctoral experimental and clinical research in the field of clinical nutrition and metabolism. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Grants supporting the fieldwork of serious researchers in the areas of: Climate Change, Geoscience, Paleoclimate (i.e. Early Earth, Tectonics, Volcanism, Paleontology, Glaciology, Geophysics, Astronomy), Marine Science, Marine Biology, Marine Life, Fish, Coral, Ocean, Fresh Water, Rivers, Lakes, Estuaries, Anthropology/Archeology,Plants and Molds, Animals, and Conservation Science​. Grants for undergraduates foster a new generation of explorers dedicated to the advancement of the scientific knowledge of our world. Graduate student/post-doctoral grants support exploration and field research for those who are just beginning their research careers.
