Facebook Emerging Scholar Program Predoctoral Fellowship for Underrepresented Students

The Facebook Fellowship Program is designed to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering at an accredited university. Fellowships support first or second year PhD students who are members of a minority group that is underrepresented in the technology sector. The fellowship offers support for two years.

Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Universities Research Association, Inc. (URA) Visiting Scholars Program

The program support visits by researchers from the URA member institutions to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year. Visits can range from attendance at Fermilab conferences and summer schools to year-long stays at the Lab. Support provided by the program may include the following: travel and local lodging expenses during a series of short visits OR salary support and round trip travel expenses for an extended visit. Awards are for up to one year.

Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown Fellowships in Writing and the Visual Arts

The Center offers residential fellowships for fiction writers, poets, and visual artists in the early stages of their careers to give them the opportunity to pursue their work independently in a diverse and supportive community of peers. Fellows are remain in residence at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The fellowship is seven months.

Folger Shakespeare Library Postdoctoral Fellowship

Fellowships support scholars who wish to use the collections, including the world’s largest and finest collection of Shakespeare materials and to major collections of other rare Renaissance books, manuscripts, and works of art. Projects for first books, including revised dissertations, will be considered. Fellows are expected to be in continuous residence and to participate in the intellectual life of the Folger in Washington, D.C. The fellowship offers support for 6-9 months.

awarded annually to a select number of exceptional American artists and musicians who plan to pursue their studies in Paris–visual fine arts (painting, graphic design, print-making, sculpture, photography) and music (composition, instrumental or vocal performance). Preference is given to mature students who have already done some graduate study. Between the ages of 21-29.
