three year graduate fellowship with stipend, or one year fellowship for professional development. Proposals can cover any topic, as long as they address one or more of the seven FFAR Challenge areas. The FFAR Fellow program is especially interested in innovative, novel, and collaborative research in food and agricultural, including all aspects of digital agriculture, phytobiome, soil microbiome, precision agriculture, and breeding technology. Fellows will have the opportunity to work with the leading industry scientists in the United States and Canada as their personal mentors.

Grants support all scholarly research related to the history of women to be conducted at the Center for the History of Medicine at the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine at Harvard. Fellowships support travel, lodging and incidental expenses for a flexible research period

Fellowships support basic, clinical or epidemiological lines of inquiry into leading women’s health concerns. Priority areas are cardiovascular disease, leading female cancers, hormones’ role in disease and stage-of-life health concerns, diseases or health concerns that disproportionately afflict women, and exploration of gender differences related to the aforementioned topics. The fellowship is for one year.

Several post-doctoral fellowships and training grants in cancer biology, research, and prevention

Fellowship is intended to support the development of outstanding investigators embarking on careers in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Grants help investigators make the transition to independent, self-supporting, faculty members and are awarded to institutions for the purpose of providing stipends, fringe benefits, and modest travel expenses in support of qualified post-doctoral fellows or newly appointed assistant professors. Award recipients may thereby devote the major part of their professional effort to research related to pulmonary disease and lung biology. Award provides three years of support.

The Morgan Prize is awarded for outstanding research in mathematics. It is made jointly by the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America, and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The prize is awarded annually to any undergraduate student in a college or university in Canada, Mexico, the United States or its possessions, for outstanding research in mathematics.

provides one-year fellowships for gifted young musicians, generally performers and composers in classical disciplines, who wish to pursue advanced music study and performance abroad.The Fund provides financial support for round trip transportation, living and other expenses.

The Roosevelt Institute supports a program of small grants in support of research on the “Roosevelt Years” or clearly related subjects. Funds are awarded for the sole purpose of helping to defray living, travel, and related expenses incurred while conducting research at the Roosevelt Library. The grants program is particularly designed to encourage younger scholars to expand our knowledge and understanding of the Roosevelt period.

FRAXA awards fellowships to postdoctoral researchers working in established labs on projects related to FRAXA’s Research Priorities. The Foundation supports research focused on finding a specific treatment for fragile X syndrome. Their goal is to bring practical treatment into current medical practice as quickly as possible. Preference is given to research projects that have a clear practical application and the results of which will be shared in a timely fashion. The fellowship offers support for two years.

Fellowships support research related to the broad themes and historical problems of Colonial America, the Revolutionary Era, and the Early Republic as well as the history of the arts, material culture, and society which help us better understand the greater legacy of George Washington and his home, Mount Vernon. Projects related to national memory, philanthropy, and the history of historic preservation are also encouraged. The resources of the library include the archives of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association. Fellowships offer up to six months of support.
