Fellowship support research in all disciplines, thematic or subject areas that exist at both universities or are complementary. The fellowship is for 24 months, with the fellow conducting research at Freie Universität Berlin for 12 months and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for 12 months

The Berlin Program provides dissertation and postdoctoral residential fellowships for North American scholars specializing in modern and contemporary Germany and Europe. The program supports scholars in all social science and humanities disciplines, including historians working on the period since the mid-18th century. Fellowships must be held for a single continuous period. The fellowship offers support for 10-12 months.

Short-term grants to promote scholarly use of Library research collections. Fellows must reside in Princeton during the tenure of the grant. The length of the grant will depend on the applicant’s research proposal, but is ordinarily up to one month.

Offers research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries. Current doctoral students may apply if they will complete their degree requirements by the specified deadline

The Fulbright-Hays DDRA Fellowship Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, provides opportunities for graduate students to conduct full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. Allowable projects are those that focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories).

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) invests in promising students with financial need who wish to study abroad. Potential applicants who meet our eligibility requirements may participate on any international education program that meets their academic objectives. Scholarships range from $1,250 – $10,000 and can be applied for programs that run for at least 28 days.
