Hadassah-Brandeis Institute Gilda Slifka Internship Program

stipend and housing provided for an internship program for undergraduate and two graduate students with a demonstrated interest in women’s studies, Jewish women’s studies or topics related to Jewish women/Jewish gender issues around the world. Interns assist HBI-affiliated scholars and Brandeis offices with research and administrative tasks. Includes weekly outings to research archives and places of Jewish interest, and discussions with Jewish studies and gender studies scholars. Handweavers Guild of America (HGA) Scholarships in Research and Artistic Merit

For students enrolled in accredited programs in the United States and Canada. Scholarship funds are for furthering education in the field of fiber arts, including textile research, history and conservation; and may be used for tuition only. HGA Scholarship applicants can fall into one of two categories – artistic merit or scholarly research. Scholarships are awarded on artistic and technical excellence rather than financial need. The scholarly research category is recommended for those applicants focused on textile research, history, conservation, etc., rather than artistic mastery.
