Longhi Foundation Doctoral Fellowship in Art History

Fellowships support doctoral students conducting research in the history of art. Longhi fellows have access to study materials available in the Institute, which mainly concern Italian painting from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. Fellows must live in Florence for the entire duration of the fellowship. The fellowship offers support for nine months. Good knowledge of Italian required. Age limit-under 32 years old.

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Graduate Research Assistantship

These assistantships provide students with relevant research experience while they are pursuing a graduate degree. The research they carry out contributes to LANL’s mission of developing advanced technologies to address U.S. national security challenges. In some cases, students can arrange to conduct master’s or doctoral thesis research at the Laboratory. Appointments are available for 3-12 months, with option for renewal based upon program requirements.

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Postdoctoral Research Program

Postdoctoral appointees perform research in a robust scientific R&D environment, present and publish research, advance knowledge in basic and applied science, and strengthen national scientific and technical capabilities.

In coordination with the Intelligence Community and the Department of Energy, this fellowship provides the opportunity for recipients to collaborate with LANL scientists and engineers regarding staff-initiated research in areas that have the potential for future technological developments important to the Intelligence Community. This fellowship is open to those who have the ability to obtain a DOE “Q” Security Clearance, which usually requires US citizenship

Fellowship support the final year of PhD or ThD dissertation writing for students engaged in research pertaining to North American Christianity. Proposed projects may employ a variety of methodological perspectives, including, but not limited to, history, ethics, the social sciences, biblical studies, and historical, systematic, and practical theology. They may also be interdisciplinary in nature. Projects should have the potential to strengthen the religious life of North American Christians and their institutions. The fellowship offers support for one year.
