Scholarships

The fellowship supports research and innovation in the area of societal production and utilization of energy. The fellowships offer support for two years.

Fellowship support doctoral research in the field of modeling, simulation, and training, with preference given to research applicable to simulating real-time complex, interactive environments, or training and preparing individuals to perform in such environments. Fellowships are for one year.

For students who are pursuing higher research at an overseas university and wish to undertake some aspect of their work in the UK.

Fellowships support doctoral students conducting research in the history of art. Longhi fellows have access to study materials available in the Institute, which mainly concern Italian painting from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. Fellows must live in Florence for the entire duration of the fellowship. The fellowship offers support for nine months. Good knowledge of Italian required. Age limit-under 32 years old.

These assistantships provide students with relevant research experience while they are pursuing a graduate degree. The research they carry out contributes to LANL’s mission of developing advanced technologies to address U.S. national security challenges. In some cases, students can arrange to conduct master’s or doctoral thesis research at the Laboratory. Appointments are available for 3-12 months, with option for renewal based upon program requirements.

Postdoctoral appointees perform research in a robust scientific R&D environment, present and publish research, advance knowledge in basic and applied science, and strengthen national scientific and technical capabilities.

Fellowship support the final year of PhD or ThD dissertation writing for students engaged in research pertaining to North American Christianity. Proposed projects may employ a variety of methodological perspectives, including, but not limited to, history, ethics, the social sciences, biblical studies, and historical, systematic, and practical theology. They may also be interdisciplinary in nature. Projects should have the potential to strengthen the religious life of North American Christians and their institutions. The fellowship offers support for one year.

Fellowships support doctoral students whose work would be an appropriate preparation of a career in Christian theological school teaching. Applicants may represent a variety of academic disciplines, including, but not limited to, history, ethics, the social sciences, biblical studies, and historical, systematic, and practical theology. Fellows should have the potential to strengthen the religious life of North American Christians and their institutions while simultaneously advancing American religious and theological scholarship. The fellowship offers support for two years.

Fellowships offer postdoctoral scholars a teaching experience in a theological school. Fellows will work with two experienced co-mentors (one professor and one pastor). Scholars may come from a variety of academic disciplines, including, but not limited to, history, ethics, the social sciences, biblical studies, and historical, systematic, and practical theology. The fellowship offers support for two years.
