Scholarships

The fellowship is for scholarly and scientific research about Oman. Supported disciplines include, but are not limited to, the humanities, social sciences, environmental sciences, geology, and ecology. The fellowship funds one scholar or team of scholars to carry out research in Oman. Applicants specify the timeframe within which they wish to conduct their project

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions

Summer programs at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) provide an opportunity to spend a summer conducting research at the NIH side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world, in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research on the main campus in Bethesda, MD, and the surrounding area as well as in Baltimore and Frederick, MD; Research Triangle Park, NC; Hamilton, MT; Framingham, MA; Phoenix, AZ; and Detroit, MI. Internships cover a minimum of eight weeks.

Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics and the Health Care Management Department at the Wharton School provide underrepresented minority undergraduate students, or interested others, an opportunity to explore the exciting field of health services research. Participants work with Penn faculty mentor(s) full time on health services research project(s) of the student’s choice, gain  assistance with the graduate school application process, including a GRE prep program, meet weekly with program staff and Penn faculty to discuss their projects, present a final presentation at the End of SUMR Research Symposium, and attend the health services research conference in Seattle.

Awards approximately 40 fellowships for graduate, postgraduate and post-doc studies in the U.S. and Canada. Only Swedish citizens with a completed undergraduate degree are eligible to apply. Every year, the Sweden-America Foundation awards approximately 40 fellowships for Graduate, Postgraduate and Post Doc Studies in the United States and Canada.

Scholarships support non-Taiwanese students who wish to pursue Huayu (Mandarin proficiency) courses at approved language centers in Taiwan, and to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society. Scholarships offer support for two, three, six, nine, or twelve months.

The aim of the Teach @ Tübingen scholarship is to expand English-language teaching at the University of Tübingen, to establish international contacts and to give international doctoral candidates and young post-docs the opportunity to gain teaching experience and broaden their individual research horizons. The Program funds PhD candidates, postdocs, or junior faculty (received PhD within last 4 years) from Tübingen’s strategic partners to teach classes in English at Tübingen for 2 hours per week during the semester.

Teach for two years in low-income communities to improve education quality.

The Teaching Assistant Program in France offers you the opportunity to work in France for 7 months, teaching English to French students of all ages.

Fellowships support doctoral scholars of American Art and emerging artists worldwide. The program encourages independent work while providing seminars and mentoring by senior scholars and artists aimed at fostering reflection and debate. Fellows are in residence in Giverny, France, for the duration of the program
