Scholarships

Fellowships support scholars in the humanities, social science, and the arts at all levels. Fellows are expected to be in residence in Philadelphia at the Katz Center. The fellowship is for one semester or one academic year.

Tuition, stipend, and research grants paid for 3.5 years at the University of Warwick for a PhD program.

Fellowships offer time, space, and an intellectual community for aspiring authors of fiction and poetry. Fellows teach one section of undergraduate mixed-genre or single-genre creative writing each semester and assist with Institute fellowship competitions for the following year. Fellows are expected to participate fully in the life of the Madison writing community and must commit to reside in the Madison area for the full duration of the fellowship. The fellowship is for one year.

The Elsie Phare Fellowship will support a student in UPenn’s well-established Post-Baccalaureate Program in Classical Studies, providing $20,000 towards tuition and living expenses.

The Payne Fellowship Program awards ten fellowships valued at up to $48,000 annually for a two-year program. At the conclusion of two years of study, the Payne Fellow is expected to obtain a degree in international development or another area of relevance to the work of the USAID Foreign Service at a U.S. graduate or professional school approved by the Payne Program.  Fellows who successfully complete the Payne Program and USAID Foreign Service entry requirements will receive appointments as Foreign Service Officers with the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The program provides support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and who intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported.

The University of the West of England, Bristol offers the Millennium Scholarship to international students who will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments, and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Vaclav Havel Library Foundation announces a contest for students of drama and performance studies for the best mini-drama inspired by the quote from the play The Increased Difficulty of Concentration written by Vaclav Havel

for postdoctoral teacher-scholars who seek to prepare for leadership roles in teaching and administration in Catholic or Protestant institutions of higher education. Fellows teach eight courses over two years, receiving mentoring from a senior faculty member, participate in a colloquium program, and carry out scholarly or creative work in the fellow’s field and in the relationship of Christianity to the academic vocation. The fellowship offers support for two years.

The VELD Fellowship Taiwan is an 18-month journey of self discovery and personal growth, exclusively for recent graduates of top U.S. colleges. The VELD Fellowship is a fully-funded, eighteen month program of vocational, educational, and leadership development in Taipei, Taiwan.
