Applications to become a student-instructor are submitted in the Spring semester in the year before the C-START student-instructor will teach. Students are chosen that same semester. For example, a student-instructor interested in teaching in 2023-2024 should apply in Spring 2023 and will be notified before the end of the semester.

(Junior transfer students are exempt from the four semester requirement.)
